OnTheFly™ 1.2 for Android just made it easier to plan your trip

We just released the latest version of OnTheFly™, our airfare shopping mobile app, for Android. One of the new features in v1.2 is flexible date search, which enables you to browse 35 days of potential departure dates on a calendar combined with an interactive “temperature” graph.


You can also save and access search history now, including particular itineraries of interest. We’ll even check price changes for those itineraries so you can know the best time to plan that dream trip.

If you haven’t already tried OnTheFly, you can download it for free from Android Market or the App Store. OnTheFly for use with BlackBerry (OS 4.6+) can be accessed at http://bbmatrix.itasoftware.com.

    Most of the low cost airlines in Europe are missing. My flight from Bucharest to Rome with WizzAir cost about $60 and your app provides lowest price of about $150.

    To be useful in Europe, you should add the low cost airlines to your search (WizzAir, Air Blue and so on). Now the app is useless..

    Why oh why does every google app have to have a service and process running not everyone is using the galaxy s2 and the htc desires etc...

    Fantastic job Google for not supporting Android 3.x and for actively promoting Android fragmentation!

    I for one am fed up with this. My next phone/tablet/whatever certainly won't be be an Android device. It's time for Google to feel the heat and actually start doing something about the mess that they put us in!

    Chill, Fed up! Have you heard about ICS(Ice Cream Sandwich)? It's supposed to unify all the Android fragmentation. So soon you won't have to worry about whether you have Android for smartphone or tablet.

    Tried this as a possible alternative to Skyscanner.

    Tried to find a flight that exists from BCN (Barcelona) to LTN (London Luton) on 23rd December. No flights found at all by OnTheFly but 3 direct flights from Easyjet and 3 indirect flights from Ryanair. Not very promising although flexibility of parameters/dates/airports would be useful if it actually found flights that exist!

    Maybe it does not do low cost airlines or UK?

    This worked for Brazilian flights to US, Spain and internal flights. No low costs (except Spanair) and only Gol and TAM from Brazil (other airlines were not shown).

    This is really cool. It's working well in my LG optimus one P 500. I would love the idea of searching for lowest air fares. Its working in INDIA.
