It's just taking a couple of seconds for changes in the Gmail web interface to appear on my iPhone.

For those of you complaining that you can only sync your default calendar in Google Sync, it's not true, its perfectly possible to sync multiple calendars. Check this out:

http://www.google.com/support/mobile/bin/answer.py?answer=139206

Also, for everyone saying they can't see older emails even with the iPhone settings set to "no limit". I think this is just true for older emails that arrived before you enabled Gmail push on your phone. If you really need to read those messages go into the "all mail" folder on your phone and search on the server for them.jedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11665189305491186911noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1737808092791042537.post-8022855135812376072009-09-24T23:31:45.106-07:002009-09-24T23:31:45.106-07:00As mentioned above this is not limited to iPhone a...As mentioned above this is not limited to iPhone and WinMo since Google has simply added support also for email over MS's Exchange Activesync protocol. This is why it works for Nokia MfE and just about any recent Sony Ericsson phone, which is great news of course, thank you for that Google!

To set it up for most Sony Ericsson phones (non Symbian):
1. Click 'Menu' and open the 'Organizer'.
2. Select 'Synchronization'.
3. Select 'New Account' and choose 'Exchange ActiveSync' as 'Account type'.
4. Enter 'Google' or any name of your choice.
5. On the 'General' tab, enter the following values:
- Server address: https://m.google.com/
- Username: Your full Google email address, e.g. jon@gmail.com
- Password: your Google Account password
- Domain: leave empty
6. On the 'Applications' tab mark 'Email', ‘Calendar’ and 'Contacts'.
7. Optionally, on the 'Advanced' tab, enter the following settings:
- Push: ‘On’ or ‘Off’, (On will consume more battery)
- Sync. interval: For Push ‘Off’. How often to sync.
- Allow Connection: Better leave this as 'Home network" (roaming costs...)
- Connection: Leave blank for default Internet settings.
- Secure Connection: On
8. Select 'Save' to save your changes.
9. The phone might then ask you to clear data.Answer ‘No’ unless you really want to.
10. Highlight your new account and press 'Start'.

For Symbian SE phones (P1, G700, G900) you can use the Roadsync client with roughly the same settings.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06197950002947262049noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1737808092791042537.post-24291506367519557872009-09-24T18:53:36.817-07:002009-09-24T18:53:36.817-07:00PUSH Gmail: loooooooooooooooooooots of problems!
