The Google Docs app for Android now with Web Clipboard and in 46 languages

Wednesday, August 24, 2011 | 9:40 AM

In April, we introduced the Google Docs app for Android, a useful way to view, edit and create documents and spreadsheets on the go. Today, we're extending the availability of this app to 45 additional languages and adding a new Web Clipboard feature that makes it easy to insert photos from your Android phone into a Google document. Learn more on the Google Docs blog and update or download the app today from Android Market.

Thanks for the update, but I'm hanging out for better tablet support. Editing on a tablet is pretty subpar at the moment. (I don't want to keep having to take my laptop on trips!)

as Axyl said, I have a honeycomb tablet arriving next week, I want the word processor bit to allow us to style the text (bold, colour, align etc). Then we can finally get rid of the wifes laptop for good and replace it with Android as this is the only thing missing (without paying £15 for an office app)

That capability is a great addition to the effort to go paperless! I listed some other mobile tips and other info in a blog I recently wrote: http://www.inhanddeals.com/2011/09/paperless-clutter-busting-conscience/
